Home run for McCain
Beyond the beauty is the brains.
by Craig Bachler
As many of you are aware, I am not a McCain fan. Regretfully, this is what we were handed because of the influence of the RNC.
McCain should have tons of support from the Democrats, after all, campaign finance reform, in bed with Teddy Kennedy on immigration and the list goes on.
Obama has nothing in common with the working man, never served his country and has only been in the Senate Chamber for under 145 days of actual experience on the job. Do we want someone that has no experience in the White House? But yet his campaign claims that McCains pick has no experience????
I thought we were electing a President with the need of experience? So, then Obama claims that McCain doesn't know how many houses he has, but does he talk about how he financed his house? The lender (a friend of his) is now in jail for mortgage fraud.
The he complains that McCain is out of touch with the economy with the commercial show Bush senior in the country club commercial. Last I head, the economy grew in the last quarter.
Then "we will be free of our dependence of foreign oil in 10 years". Last I heard, we are well on our way. I could go on, but as we all know Obama is full of BS.
Here is the magic.......
Sarah Palin!
Lets start with her benefits, beauty, brains, and bold.
Her weaknesses, ?
McCain picked someone that should herself be running for President. I cannot say enough about our soon to be VP.
Obama VP choice, grouchy old man, combined with an inexperienced person as resident or
McCain, fought for freedom, experienced and a smart and hot looking VP.
Which campaign makes more sense?

Local elections are over
Thank God! The idiots are done telling lies
by Craig Bachler
Regretfully, time hasn't been on my side. Work, travel for work, school and the family thing. With that said, I haven't had a chance to do as much as I wanted in telling the truth on the local Manatee elections.
First, I believe change was needed for County Commission, but all the challengers had no message, spread lies and just didn't inspire me to get excited during this election cycle.
First, Public Defender, Larry Egen won by a very small margin. Larry is nothing more than a RINO, he contributed to Christine the Limousine Liberal Jennings. He also supports the abortion industry, higher taxes and the list goes on.
John Chappie (or as my daughter calls him John Crappie, my spell check does the same???) and Larry the BS artist Bustle. Both won over the incumbents by spreading lies in the mail with the help of their "red head" friend. Lets see in six months if either does anything. Highly unlikely.
The Harry double dipper Kinnan, he won by a slim margin. I guess his wife's 80K plus job is safe for another four years in the administration.
Gilbert Smith beat Connie. Too bad, she is much better looking.
So, lets see what these painters of incorrect information actually do making their big fat paychecks.

Manatee County School Board race heats up...
Harry the Double Dipper vs Watchdog Miner
by Craig Bachler
It is fast approaching six years since I moved to Florida and I am still amazed over the school board elections. Reason being, those that are elected are privileged and feel they are royalty. Based on my observations, this image is created by the excessive pay and privileges associated with this position.
Regretfully, the members of the Manatee County School Board are exempt from everything that us as taxpayers are not. The "Florida Sunshine Laws" as they are called is to bring forward public policy created by government members to the public, so that no special deals are made. Well, as mentioned, Roger the dodger Dearing and the boards lynch man attorney John Bowen, plus the five board members appear above the law.
Now, off to the elections......
We have the double dipper Harry Kinnan versus the public watchdog, Dave Miner. This race is badly needed because of the corruption that this board has a reputation for.
Harry is a former military captain from the Army. However, his best talent is bullshit! Harry can sell snow to an Inuit by smiling and telling them why his snow is better. Harry also doesn't do his homework on board matters. He recently approved (rubber stamped) a vote to support drug testing for athletes and now opposes it because he didn't understand the method of applying it. Harry, you are not that stupid are you?
Plus Harry is also getting a pension from the State and also collects about 40K a year plus benefits from being a board member, hence "Double Dipper".
People, wake up, lets throw out the trash, time to dump Harry and put the Watchdog in office. Dave is the right choice and with the other board members, at least he will read before voting or caving into the demands of the tyrant Dearing.
This host reccomends Dave the "Watchdog" Miner for Manatee County School Board.

Elections are close
Local Manatee County Elections, Aug 23....
by Craig Bachler
I have somewhat neglected to update this blog due to a major load of school work. In an election year, that is a poor excuse because Americans need to know the truth.
Today's update will focus on the local elections here in Manatee County Florida. I will cover perhaps the more active elections and add comment to each candidate.
Manatee County District 3 County Commissioners. Incumbent Jane von Hahmann vs former Bradenton Beach Mayor John Chappy.
This is an interesting race, we have a do nothing incumbent that was unopposed four yeas ago versus a small time politician well connected to developers funding. Voters in Manatee County are unhappy with what is going on in their community because of falling property values, excessive development in the East and a failure of representation for the residents of the west.
Jane has proven not be be the great leader she thinks she is. Her lack luster performance and dependence on others to guide her on important issues demonstrates that she should be running her surfboard shop instead of a county government. I even considered running in this election as a anyone but Jane candidate. But as mentioned earlier, school is a priority, thus not this year.
John Chappy is one of the nicest guys you can meet. He is very personal and pleasant to be around. My first meeting with John was at a political event last October. However, nice doesn't necessarily indicate any leadership experience. The mayors of Anna Marie Island brag (John is part of this) that they didn't raise taxes under their leadership but got a lot done. Truth is, property values went up along with tax revenue, thus the influx of tons of cash. Carol Whitmore didn't clarify this during her campaign last time around.
However, look at john and the money machine he is involved with. Lots of cash from special interest (like his big sister Carol Whitmore). Carol is the developers best friend and has proven it with not taking a tough stand with excessive development, but then again 300K to run for County Commissioner, she owes favors. I feel John will fall into this same trap, thus John is not my choice.
Preserve what we have and vote for Jane.
Next week, public defender Larry Egen vs Ron Fillapowski......

Sex, Lies and Videotape
Only Kidding, but close......
by Craig Bachler
This is a bit off topic for my part of cyberspace, but here it goes.
I live in perhaps one of the nicest place in Florida, Manatee County. However it is not all perfect in paradise. We have a school board attorney and superintendent that both need to go!
Florida has one of the most transparent record laws in America. However, our superintendent Mr. Roger Dearing and his legal advisory, John Bowen appear to be above the law. Not once, not twice, but many times I have requested public records. Under state law, they must be provided, well not according to Bowen.
Apparently Dearing is hiding stuff under the advise of Bowen. Every time I request any public records, Bowen is asked to get involved and then the stall tatic, a fee to be charged. Didn't I pay this charge in my tax bill every year?
Now Bowen is telling fibs to the local media, saying I intimidate and harass the school board on exercising my legal rights.
Is this the intention of our forefathers, government that lies to the people it is employed by? It is time that Dearing and Bowen resign, put people in place that support education and not Roger Dearings 220k PLUS SALARY that he is given, not earned.
Roger, Bowen, get out of Manatee County.

Let the battle continue
Obama vs Clinton
by Craig Bachler
As most of you know, I am no fan of the Democratic Party. Since I first votes in the 1980's, I leaned towards the conservative candidate, Regan (X's2) Bush in 88, Pat Buchanan in 92 and 96(NH Primary) and the trend continued. My 08 choice dropped out early (Tom Tancredo).
As you can see (unless you have no communications with the rest of the world), the battle between Hillary and Obama is heating up. Hillary is accusing Obama of being out of touch with middle America in his arrogant statements, Obama is accusing Hillary of being out of touch period.
I must give Hillary credit, like Bill (her husband and close friend with the interns) must be a lot of fun on a Saturday night. See the shot and beer she slammed down to prove she is just like us, the rest of America that has a drinking problem.
Well, looks like I am going to vote for the liberal McCain this time.

Scientology protest around the world
Scientology, Cult or what?
by Craig Bachler
The past several weeks have proven challenging for the "religion" Scientology. A group of protestors from the loosly formed Anonymous has established protest at locations around the world.
Project Chanology, also called Operation Chanology, is a protest against the Church of Scientology by the Internet-based group Anonymous. Project Chanology also refers to a website of the same name, used by Anonymous to chronicle ongoing and planned actions by the group, who state they are "everyone and everywhere", with "no leaders". The project was started in response to the Church of Scientology's attempts to remove material from an exclusive promotional interview with Scientology's Tom Cruise from the Internet in January 2008.
This past fall, I wrote a research paper on the Church of Scientology. Part of my research included meeting and interviewing an auditor from a local mission. The interview proved quite entertaining and somewhat disappointing. The auditor did not respond to several key questions including mandatory donations, core beliefs and what make Scientology so controversial.
Based on what I was able to research both in the interview process and reading material, Scientology has no core characteristics of a religion. It is more like a cult that is taking advantage of the tax shelters created for true religious groups.
I hope anonymous continues to put pressure on this science fiction belief. The US Government should "audit" their books and see that this is nothing but a scam. For those in Scientology, get out before it is too late. Tom Cruise, John Travolta and other hollyweird stars can continue to stay clear, but do not expect me to see a movie with you in them, I'll stay clear on my own.

The rats are starting to jump ship
Spitzer and the ethical Democrats
by Craig Bachler
Well, the Spitzer ship is just starting to sink. The rats are usually the first to know and jump ship. The first to disassociate herself with Spitzer is State Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther D-NY.
She said today is “a sad day” for the Spitzer family and New York with his resignation, but she said it is time to move forward with the new administration of Lt. Gov. David Paterson. Wasn't she a friend of his, just look into his campaign finances and you should see the trail.
Assemblyman Kevin Cahill of Kingston, also a Democrat, said: “The unfortunate circumstances that bring us to this historic moment cannot be allowed to hinder our ability to move New York forward". Historic? Is this the first time a Democrat in high office got caught with his pants down? So, Lewinski gate is historic, is it in the history books of American Middle Schools?
Congressman Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) " I am completely surprised and saddened by the events surrounding the resignation of Governor Spitzer". Yea right.
And the stupidity goes on. Hey Hillary, after Obama knocks you out of the Presidential, you could apply for the Governorship next, you'll fall right in to the role with all of your "experience".

Charvez and his hot air
Charvel must go
by Craig Bachler
The following story is fresh from the AP and if we do not move now in the name of freedom, the4 US Government is at fault for letting this tyrant run free. Talke out Chavez!
From the AP
CARACAS, Venezuela - Warning that Colombia could spark a war, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez sent tanks and thousands of troops to the countries' border Sunday and ordered his government's embassy in Bogota closed.
The leftist leader warned Colombia's U.S.-allied government that Venezuela will not permit acts like Saturday's killing of top rebel leader Raul Reyes and 16 other Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia guerrillas at a camp across the border in Ecuador.
"Mr. Defense Minister, move 10 battalions to the border with Colombia for me, immediately — tank battalions, deploy the air force," Chavez said during his weekly TV and radio program. "We don't want war, but we aren't going to permit the U.S. empire, which is the master (of Colombia) ... to come to divide us."
He ordered the Venezuelan Embassy in Bogota closed and said all embassy personnel would be withdrawn. It pushes already tense relations between the South American neighbors to their lowest point yet, with potentially far-reach effects on billions of dollars in cross-border trade.
Though Chavez didn't say how many troops he was sending, a Venezuelan battalion traditionally has some 600 soldiers — meaning some 6,000 could be headed to the border.
Chavez called the Colombian government "a terrorist state" as he sided with the leftist rebels it has battled for decades, saying its military "invaded Ecuador, flagrantly violated Ecuador's sovereignty."
Neither Colombia's foreign minister nor the country's military leadership would comment on Chavez's latest move when pressed by reporters for comment Sunday as they left a funeral service in Bogota for a Colombian soldier killed in Saturday's raid.
Speaking in Texas, U.S. National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe said officials were monitoring the situation.
"This is an odd reaction by Venezuela to Colombia's efforts against the FARC, a terrorist organization that continues to hold Colombians, Americans and others hostage," Johndroe said.
Chavez said he had just spoken to Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa and that Ecuador was also sending troops to its border with Colombia. Chavez said his Ecuadorean ally told him that Uribe had lied and that the rebels were killed while asleep "in their pajamas."
"This is something very serious. This could be the start of a war in South America," Chavez said. He warned Colombian President Alvaro Uribe: "If it occurs to you to do this in Venezuela, President Uribe, I'll send some Sukhois" — Russian warplanes recently bought by Venezuela.
He called Uribe "a criminal" accusing him of being a "lapdog" of Washington saying "Dracula's fangs (are) are covered in blood."
The slaying of Reyes and 16 other guerrillas, Chavez said, "wasn't any combat. It was a cowardly murder, all of it coldly calculated."
"We pay tribute to a true revolutionary, who was Raul Reyes," Chavez said, recalling that he had met rebel in Brazil in 1995 and calling him a "good revolutionary."
"The Colombian government has become the Israel of Latin America," an agitated Chavez said, mentioning another country that he has criticized for its military strikes. "We aren't going to permit Colombia to become the Israel of these lands. ... Uribe, we aren't going to permit you."
"Someday Colombia will be freed from the hand of the (U.S.) empire," Chavez said. "We have to liberate Colombia," he added, saying Colombia's people will eventually do away with its government.
Chavez maintains warm relations with the Colombia's largest guerrilla group, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, and has sought to play a role as mediator in the conflict despite his growing conflict with Colombia's government.
Colombia and Venezuela have been locked in a diplomatic crisis since November, when Uribe ended Chavez's official role negotiating a proposed hostages-for-prisoners swap.
Nevertheless, the FARC freed four hostages to Venezuelan officials last week, and they were reunited with their families in Caracas. It was the second unilateral release by the FARC this year.
Chavez has recently angered Uribe by urging world leaders to classify the leftist rebels as "insurgents" rather than "terrorists."
The FARC has proposed trading some 40 remaining high-value captives, including former Colombian presidential candidate Ingrid Betancourt and three U.S. defense contractors, for hundreds of imprisoned guerrillas.
In Ecuador, army Gen. Fabian Narvaez told The Associated Press that soldiers had found the bodies of 15 rebels and that soldiers planned to hand the bodies over to Ecuadorean officials, who will conduct forensic exams.
He said three Ecuadorean battalions have been stationed in the area in the country's northeastern jungle since Saturday, just a few miles from Colombian territory.
My take.......................
The facts don't lie. Charvel is a problem not only to his neighbors but to the balance of stability of all of the Americas. This guy should have a bullseye painted on his forehead and someone should practice their shooting with it.
If George Bush had any morals, he would remove this cancer from the Americas for all of the Americas.

I know this is a bit off topic for this web site, but I must admit, Van Halen still rocks.
My charming wife of 17 years bought two tickets to the Feb 18 VH show in Tampa. Thus, we were ther rocking with David Lee Roth, Eddie Vanhalen, Wolfgang Van Halen and Alex Vanhalen.
It was an amazing thing, women dusted off their spandex and heels for this one. Behind me, a mother in her fourties was there with her teenage son. Balding men in their fifities playing air guitar. Ages ranged from mid teens to earlier sixties.
David proved that being in his 50's didn't slow down his high kicks, screaming voice or his true showmanship.
Perhaps my best concert since 1980 (last time I seen Vanhalen) that I can remember. Enough of this, I have to get back to my school work and ringing ears.

Politics and Psychics...
There is one born everyday....
by Craig Bachler
It is amazing how people react to things they know are false, but yet they still believe them. I was told that the correct term to describe this is puffin. When someone tells you something that you know is false, but yet you still believe them.
Well puffin is used in three areas of business, law, politics and fraud artist that claim they have psychic ability. Regretfully, people become enthrauled in hearing what they want to hear, but yet they know it is false. But like the laws of physiscs, they go in the path of least resistance and believe what they want to hear.
Lets take Hillary Clinton (who is pimping out her daughter for her campaign). So many want to believe what she is saying (still not sure what that is) that they will vote for her even though everything she is saying is a lie. Fact is, she will sell her first born to get in (see earlier comment about pimping Chelsea).
Now, lets compare that to lets say a psychic. Here is a good example, follow link
http://www.townonline.com/northshoresunday/opinion/x875777719
Yep, people believe this crap too. How many millons are pumped into the politcal arena and yet how many millions are pumped into this scam industry. Yes America, we are stupid enough to support people telling us what we want to hear and not what is true.
I think my next business venture should be selling rose colored glasses, after all this is what people want, a vision of beauty instead or reality.
Spend you money on these con artist, it is good for their economy.

Sad day for America
McCain looks like the Rep candidate
by Craig Bachler
With today's decision of Mitt Romney to bow out of the 2008 Presidential primary, the Republicans are pretty much stuck with John McCain. I say, it is going to be a bad four years for America.
In the next few years, out next president will probably appointing new judges to the nations highest court, dealing with immigration issues and the economy.
Facts are....
John McCain supports the baby killing industry, thus he is more likely to support judges that are pro choice.
John McCain was in bed with Ted Fatboy Kennedy in support of keeping the criminals that cross our borders in America, so expect more of the same.
John McCain has been nothing but a professional politician, no experience with developing business strategies to create job growth.
Yes America, out choices are now limited to the socialist of the left or the RINO playing in the right. God save America, it will be a challenging four years ahead of us no matter who you vote for.

Jennings speaks the truth
Limo Liberal Christine speaks
by Craig Bachler
In an earlier post, Democrat Limo Liberal Christine Jennings was featured. Amazingly enough, she spoke what she really feels in an article in the Feb 3, 2008 Sarasota Herald Tribune. Voters are stupid, so banks do not have to show any records to them.
Here is the article
http://www.heraldtribune.com/article/20080203/BLOG12/83862911&start=1
Here is the quote that best sumss it up.
" “Now you couldn’t open the whole report, because frankly, there is too much in those reports when you get them. … Some of it could be misunderstood. They get so technical on some things that unless you’ve been part of banking, it’s unbelievable."
Amazingly enough, she was able to understand all that high end banking stuff from 1990 to 2003, but she didn't understand the proper way of completing IRS Tax forms. Makes you feel real good about keeping your money in a bank, the biggest welfare business going.
Christine, stick to your banking friends and get out of politics, your mouth can't seem to work with your brain.

Christine Jennings, a taxpayers worst friend....
She is back and thinks she can win???
by Craig Bachler
Those of us that reside in the 13th District in Florida have had our share of entertainment over the past few years in politics.
First there was Jan Schneider, the socialist Democrat that had the squeeky, high pitch annoying voice. Remember her, she claimed to live in the 13th District, but was receiving a homestead on her D.C home, but later announced that she lived with her father. Yes her, well that is water over the dam.
Christine Jennings won the Democrat nod in 06. Remember her, the limo liberal that made her millions in the banking industry. The banker that shrugged loans to minorities and those that were underprivilaged. Well she is not only a hippocrat, but a major sore looser.
In her loss to Vern Buchanan in 06, she spent hundreds of thousands in taxpayer monies to conduct recount upon recount, then in court, out of court and back in court.
Well, she is back! Not only are people stupid enough to donate to her campaign, but she thinks she has a shot at winning. My thoughts, yea right!
She should be bared from any future elections until she repays the taxpayers. She spent my money and I want it back, just like a bank.
I wonder if she had any dealings with the now defunct Coast Bank? Just a thought.

It's Primary Time!
The circus is in town
by Craig R. Bachler
Being a former New Hampshire resident, home to the first in the nation primary, I have met many wanna-bees.
Now calling Florida my home, it is a whole different story. As many of you are aware, Florida was trying to push ahead of all the other states to be able to suck as much cash out the primaries as possible ahead of NY, Michigan, Cal and so forth. Well Florida is Jan 29 now and New Hampshire was smart enough to have a law on the books keeping it the first in the nation primary.
We learned alot in New Hampshire, first the disappointing endorsement from the Manchester Union Leader for John McCain. Remember him, the same guy that was in bed with fat boy Kennedy on allowing illegals to stay in the US? Then we learn that all those liberals from Mass that moved to NH was able to get the RINO to win the primary.
Well, now it is Florida's time to shine.....
Jan 29 is around the corner and I voted today in early voting. (Results at bottom of page).
Rudy has spent more time in Florida than any liberal snowbird, then Huckabee has stopped in a few times, my former favorite Tancredo is on the ballot even though he stepped out in December. Then Mitt, yes the former gov of Ma during the same period gay marriage was allowed, gay material was given out in kindergarten classes for six year old and so no, remember him, flip, flop Mitt.
Well, out of all the pool, Mitt has the business experience and leadership skills to try to get the country back on track. He did bail out the Olympics in Salt Lake, balanced the budget in Ma as governor and has a success in making money. With this on his resume, he is the only candidate to even consider. Remember my earlier comments on him, well it is the devil you know rather than the one you don't know. Do we want fat ankles Hillary, or Obama the communist?
Results of my voting ( if you can't guess) Mitt for Pres, and yes on 1. Time for a tax break on my property and tell the government cry babies that they need to remove the fat in the local governments. This includes the wasteful school districts including our own, Manatee County under Roger the dodger Dearing.
